One reason is that they feel responsible when people die on Uluru, which happens occasionally, and they must take on the responsibility of mourning for them.<\/p>\n<p>So why does climbing even happen in the first place? When the Australian government gave this land back to the Anangu, one of the conditions was that it was to remain open for tourism, including the climb.
